greg martin (above, left) is an artist, author, film maker, musician,  poet, and philosopher who lives and works in nevada city, california. his art works are primarily process oriented and take many forms including sculpture, painting, installation, video, performance, and live cats.  most of his work is simply a form of asking the questions:  "what is real?" and "what is art?"  greg's work directly references boundaries of conception and knowledge.  he finds meaning and value in making art that is thoughtful and beautiful, and simple and honest.

a group show featuring greg's cruiser opens at a sacramento gallery on january 8.  work by other uc davis alumni will also be on view.

greg will be living in london, england, beginning january 5, 2000.
