hold
at airborne
(1998)
hold
at airborne is a video that shows the
process of the artist painting a
billboard. "think
indifference" is a reference to the
recent apple computer advertisements found on
billboards all over the world. the
particular billboard used for this project
faces south down shattuck from above a
drugstore on university in berkeley,
california. the finished piece is a
seven minute video with views of a handwritten
note, a bowl of fruit, a receipt, a
billboard-before driveby, the ladder climbing
and billboard painting scene, and a
billboard-after driveby. the soundtrack
was furnished by david bowie and passing
berkeley motorists. |
